Aerial Photo Analysis
Our aerial photo analysis makes the past visible
The analysis of historical aerial photographs makes an excellent and cost-efficient preliminary analysis of real estate and industrial sites as well as residential areas. It makes the past visible!
The analysis of historical aerial photographs serves to identify the former use of the premises as well as to detect impacts that could have negative consequences for the property value and/or liability issues regarding the soil protection laws (i.e. deposits, contamination-relevant facilities etc.). In this connection depending on the source military (WW I until after WW II) and civil photographs (after WW II) are available. The dating of the photographs depends on the cycle- and purposes of the flights. Thereby, the analysis of aerial photographs of different recording dates is also referred to as multi-temporal analysis.
In general, a distinction is made between single-image viewing and stereoscope analysis. While identifying objects in single aerial photographs a number of interpretation features are used like shape, shade, shadow, texture or positional relationship.
The structured assessment analysis and the analysis according to the Envi Experts systematics aim at risk-inducing features (building structures, deposits, hollow forms and such structures, like bomb craters, trenches and anti-tank ditches, etc.). The history of the area of investigation becomes visible primarily through the building structures over time (new construction, demolition).
Envi Experts have the required technical equipment for such analyses and in combination with our geographical information systems (GIS) valuable time travels result that provides a decisive advantage in terms of knowledge and enhanced security.
